The Residency Guide is published annually by the FMEQ to provide Quebec medical students with an overview of the CaRMS matching process. It is an essential tool for when the time comes to make a career choice! It includes a section on the most recent match statistics, a comparative table of admission criteria by program for the 4 Quebec universities, relevant information on the residency application process as well as future employment opportunities for all the medical specialties in Québec. It also contains a section on diversity of practice in family medicine, as well as a section summarizing the political issues addressed by the FMEQ in recent years. The Residency Guide is particularly useful for clerkship students in the process of choosing a career, but is also relevant for all medical students who wish to learn more about their future practice.
